Our commitments
Thanks to our ongoing exchanges with you over the past months, we are proud to present our main commitments
Among the lowest taxes in Quebec
We want to continue on this path by maintaining our streets and infrastructure to avoid costly repairs. We will also leverage technology to improve our services while keeping a human connection with residents. We know that inflation affects everyone. That’s why we propose to help families and new homebuyers by allowing them to spread the payment of the property transfer tax (welcome tax) over three years. We will also support the construction of affordable housing tailored to the needs of seniors, and encourage the addition of accessory dwelling units for those who wish to welcome a loved one into their home.
Improving safety for everyone
We are also committed to protecting you from fraud and identity theft through concrete actions. We will continue our efforts to improve mobility within the city, making it safer, smoother, and accessible to everyone.
This includes:
- Well-maintained streets accessible year-round
- Safe sidewalks and pedestrian crossings
- A variety of public transit options tailored to individual needs
- Free public transit for seniors
- Free public transit for seniors
- Installation of charging stations in high-density neighborhoods
We are also committed to making Taschereau Boulevard more pleasant and safer by adding a rapid bus service, bike lanes, and improved sidewalks.

Parks and trails surrounded by nature
Our team is committed to creating healthy and enjoyable environments for everyone, notably through the development of a large green loop around and within the city. The Bioparc will also feature spaces dedicated to interpreting local ecosystems.
To protect biodiversity, we will plant native flowers to attract pollinators and strengthen the control of invasive species, such as the Japanese beetle and phragmites.
We will continue our efforts to reduce the City’s carbon footprint, by lowering greenhouse gas emissions, reducing urban heat islands, planting more trees, and constructing buildings that are more ecological and sustainable.
We will also implement measures to reduce illegal dumping and prevent flooding. Finally, the expansion of urban agriculture — through the creation of new community gardens and the metropolitan agricultural park — will help improve our food security.
More activities to get moving and come together
The opening of the multigenerational center will allow us to offer a greater number of activities accessible to everyone. We will enhance our parks by adding features such as play structures, splash pads, sports fields, swings, fitness equipment, and spaces for dance, tai chi, cross-country skiing, and a refrigerated skating rink.In addition, access to the river will be improved through the development of a new esplanade and a dedicated area for water sports, including canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Culture brings us together, inspires us, and fills us with pride in our history. That’s why we will continue to offer lively festivities, major events, podcasts, exhibitions, and talks about our heritage, in addition to a cultural program that is rich, diverse, and inclusive.

An energetic, inclusive, and easy-to-navigate city
Brossard is now a dynamic city where it’s great to live, learn, work, and enjoy life. We will continue in this direction by transforming the heart of the city, around Panama Station and Taschereau. This major project will reflect the needs of current and future residents by promoting sustainable development, a wide variety of housing, businesses, cultural and educational spaces, as well as a long green corridor with parks for walking in a peaceful setting.
We will also modernize municipal services through technology. This will allow for:
- Better snow removal and street cleaning
- Faster response to neglected buildings and lots
- Quicker permit processing
- More efficient management of municipal contracts

A team that stands up for your interests
Being elected is about more than managing a city: it’s about speaking on your behalf and defending what matters to you and your quality of life. That’s what our experienced team, led by Mayor Doreen Assaad, does with determination, through actions such as:
- Request more parking around REM stations from the ARTM, as well as uninterrupted access to Montreal
- Advocate to the Ministry of Transport for repairs to Taschereau and Marie-Victorin boulevards.
- Request that the federal government transfer Léon-Gravel Park to the City so we can develop a waterfront park.
- Work with social services and the agglomeration to better address homelessness.
- Advocate to Hydro-Québec for fewer power outages
- Request that the Ministry of Education build a new high school
