Biography
“I was leader of the Renouveau Brossard party when I made the decision to join the Brossard team together. I quickly understood the importance that Doreen attaches to her civic engagement, which corresponds in every way to the objectives we were pursuing. I have always advocated direct contact with Brossardois; this is why I chose to join forces with those of Doreen and her team. Being thus reunited, imagine what we will accomplish in the next few years. “
In addition to his long experience on the Brossard municipal council, Antoine has a training as an engineer graduated from the Grandes Écoles of France. He also holds a master’s degree in environment from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He was a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec until 2012. After having worked for 26 years in a private company, including 22 years for the firm SNC Lavalin. He also worked for the Société d’Énergie de la Baie James, a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec, where he notably supervised the construction of two hydroelectric power stations.
His responsibilities led him to work as a technical advisor to the Embassy of Canada in Haiti as a representative of CIDA. His duties then led him to assume the role of deputy head of mission for a World Bank project.
In 2004, Antoine was part of the Brossard de-merging committee. He was then elected municipal councilor in 2005, and subsequently re-elected in 2009 and 2013 with the highest majority recorded in these two elections. During his mandate in 2017, he sat on the Committee on Sport and Healthy Lifestyles and on the Contract Monitoring Committee.
Married and father of two boys, he has lived in Brossard since 1988 where he is involved in the world of soccer, his passion.
Retired since 2009, he devotes most of his time to meeting his fellow citizens.
